Hanna Neumann, Senior Lecturer, College Hull University, 1946-57, Manchester College of Science and Technology, 1957-63; Professor of Pure Mathematics, School of General Studies, Australian National University from 1964; first woman professor at Australian National University; second woman elected Fellow, Australian Academy of Science in 1969.
