Twelvetrees Cottage

William Twelvetrees, Geologist, arrived in Tasmania, 1891; appointed Tasmanian Government Geologist and Chief Inspector of Mines, 1899; Director, Geological Survey of Tasmania, 1914-19; President, Geological Section, Australian Association for the Advancement of Science Meeting, 1904; awarded Clarke Medal, 1912; published many papers.
