Technology
Florey Primary School aims to develop in children an awareness and familiarity of technology. Technology is the purposeful, practical application of knowledge, experience and resources to develop, make and use products and processes. Technology is that part of the curriculum which:
- Applies a creative, designing and problem solving approach;
- Investigates and uses materials, information and systems;
- Critically appraises the function and impact of products in order to meet sustainable human needs.
Technology explores the synthesis of ideas and practices, and the effects of technologies on societies. Children develop a positive, yet critical, attitude to the development and use of technology.
