I am delighted to welcome you to Florey Primary School Community!
Florey Primary School is situated in Belconnen in the north of the Australian Capital Territory. Our school includes a preschool campus for four year old students and a primary campus for students aged between five and twelve, with a 2024 enrolment of approximately 455 students across the two campuses.
At Florey, we promote the values of respect, tolerance & inclusion and excellence. We value cultural diversity and enjoy the richness that comes with the many cultures that form our wonderful school community.
The Florey community is made up of a diverse range of nationalities and backgrounds. The multicultural nature of the school (51% EAL/D students) provides opportunities for interaction amongst students from more than 27 different countries.
Our highly skilled and passionate teaching staff use the Australian Curriculum to create engaging and targeted teaching and learning programmes for students. Quality teachers providing quality learning is a key aspect of our school’s philosophy. As such, coaching and mentoring, combined with a professional learning community approach to sharing ideas, strategies and resources continues to improve the quality of teacher pedagogy.
We work in partnership with families and share with them their child's learning journey and welcome involvement and contribution to our school community.
