The arts have the capacity to engage, inspire and enrich all students, exciting the imagination and encouraging students to reach their creative and expressive potential.
At Florey Primary School all students are provided with the opportunity to engage in five disciplines of the arts – music, visual arts, media arts, drama and dance. Time is spent appreciating and responding to the arts as well as expressing and creating.
In semester 2 there is a strong focus on the performing arts, as students are immersed in their leaning that culminates in an end of year concert for the community to showcase their learning.
Year 5/6 students have the opportunity to participate in the school band program.
Florey has a strong link with music tutors who provide private guitar, keyboard and piano lessons.
